For a short while, I collaborated closely with Prof. Kawango in Kisumu. She struck me as visionary, devoted, and determined. Her enthusiasm for advancing community-based research and development initiatives that enhance public health and development was contagious. Her contagious enthusiasm for advancing community-based resource-based research and programs that enhance public health and development
How tragic to lose her so quickly.
I hope her soul is at peace.

Rest Well Prof. Kawango. You gave me the first opportunity in my career life and all that I have attained in my professional growth is attributed to the work experience I got at IRDO.
You touched many souls and many household livelihoods were changed because you had the vision to touch lives not only as an employer but also through the public health programs IRDO implemented. Rest Well Mama. I salute you and may you dance with angels in Heaven.

Dear Mama, i write this with a heavy heart, but full of gratitude that our paths crossed, and our 6-year encounter has left me a better person. It is still hard for me to address you in past tense, and as we grieve and process this immense, sudden loss, we hold firm to the belief that you have rested happy and fulfilled, marveling at the thousands of lives you touched and changed.
We will endeavor to live your legacy, but for now, we mourn you, deeply. Sleep well Mama Gifto, till the resurrection morning.
