This was a qualitative survey carried out among owners, operators and patrons of video showrooms in Kisumu City, western Kenya, to assess the challenges to HIV prevention among youth in terms of:
- Activities taking place in the showrooms that may create environments that predispose them to HIV acquisition
- The way they understand and give meaning to HIV and AIDS
- How they rate their risk of acquiring HIV
- Their view of workable strategies for addressing the HIV scourge among young people.
