IRDO is a local non-governmental organization registered in Kenya in January 2003, with headquarters in Kisumu County, Kenya and regional offices in 9 counties. The organization’s mission is to improve public health and development by promoting research and programs that leverage community resources. IRDO has been implementing biomedical, behavioral and structural HIV prevention programs and research in 25 of the 47 counties of Kenya, with funding from PEPFAR (through CDC and USAID), Global Fund, National Institutes of Health, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the World Bank, among other donors
